Welcome to Troop 70 of Newtown online, this is the official online resource and information website for Troop 70 in Newtown. Troop 70 of Newtown is an active Boy Scout Troop that avidly explores the great outdoors. Troop 70 has been a registered Boy Scouts of America Troop for 80 years, founded in 1928, it is one of the oldest Connecticut Boy Scout Troops. Boy Scouts that belong to Troop 70 learn life-long skills, such as First Aid, Lifesaving and Citizenship. Troop 70 offers boys ages 11-18 a hands-on learning experience and leadership oppurtunities. Troop 70 activities are always supervised by adult leaders, but the Scouts are responsible for the actual activities. Troop 70 is a place to grow, to meet new friends, and explore the great outdoors. |

Troop 70 of Newtown, would be a great group to become a member of for many reasons. First, is the fact that you will have a lof of fun going on adventerous camping trips and meeting a lot of new friends. You'll also be part of a historic organization that is rugged and prepared. As a Boy Scout in Troop 70, you will learn many great life skills, such as first aid, and you'll be helping you community through community service.
